Heard you caught a bug

Hi,

 Just a quick post today,
Hope you're all well and don't need this card!!
I'm entering the 365 Cards challenge ~  to put at least 3 different bugs and 10 altogether on your creation.
Do you think I meet the challenge lol.
Also Flutterby Wednesday  ~  open as long as you have a butterfly, angel or fairy on.
Charisma Cardz ~ Circles

I used 2 scallop circles and 1 plain for the hinge. These are die cuts from Whichcraftuk.
If they're not on the web sight just ring the shop and ask for them.
I cut into the circle to make a flower shape and coloured it with copic R22.
The stamp set is Cute as a bug by See D's the lid is 3D and coloured with copic, sorry i forgot to check which one.
I used some Sakura pens on the bugs and chalk for the background.
Sentiment on the base is from the curvy verses set from SU and the acetate butterflies from my stash.

Hope it makes you smile, have a great weekend,

The Crazy Challenge is a creation for SOMETHING NEW, new home, new baby ....

This is my entry

So cute, my keepsake cot from a template by Arty Farty Designs really easy to put together.
I used gorgeous A3 pearlised cardstock from the same company, it doesn't show up too well on the photo.
Digi image is from Doodle Pantry called cuddly bear. I printed smaller images and cut them out to put on the headboard.
Copics used: R00 R11     R20 for cheeks    and went over it all with E000     C1 shadows
Gingham DP   yee ha!!! by Brenda Walton.
Daisy ribbon and teddies on the mobile which is ribbon I just cut them off and stuck them back to back  from Arty Farty Designs
Cut the trim on the cot bumper and quilt with my Martha Stewart doylie punch.

The template includes a gift box with an acetate window perfect for showing off your creation.
I decorated it with ribbon from my stash and made a gift card with an embossing folder from the baby set 2 by Sizzix
An oval punch from Stampin' Up was a perfect fit  for the handle

Another view of the box....  difficult to photo, kept getting loads of reflections on to the acetate.

Well thanks for stopping by hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful Accordion File Purse

Hi, Sunny again this morning but cold,

A BIG HELLO and welcome to a lovely new follower Kelly thanks so much for joining us.
Are you like me, every year I say i'm going to start my christmas cards early but i'm always on the last push!!!
Well i've found just the answer, through the lovely Peggy (wired angel) I found a brilliant challenge blog.
Christmas Stamping all Year Long.
It's the begining of the month so there's a project to follow and a great tutorial by Maria Bell.
Have great fun making  An accordion file purse with a matching card
Check out the DT creations they're awesome!!!
Every-body-art challenge is to make a gift so i'll enter that too.

It looks fabulous but I thought a bit daunting. Not at all!!! it's really easy to put together.
I cut all the pieces first and pencilled on the back the sizes.
It takes about 4 xA4 cardstock and about 1 1/2  sheets of 12 x12 DP
I can't stress enough how fabulous my new scoring board by Martha Stewart is.
It make projects like this so easy especially when it's in inches (for us oldies who don't do cms)
I always use wet glue for projects like this I like Art Institute Glitter glue,
but you could use what ever your comfy with.

I think the most fiddly bit was putting the dividers in, I needed an extra hand to hold the lid open.
It takes a card approx 5" x 4".
It would also make a nice note card gift set or recipe card holder.

Card stock is from The Paper Mill, York
DP by Anna Griffin from Whichcraftuk theres a link on my side bar.
Greeting from Let it Snow clear stamp set by Papermania
Ribbon from my stash

Well I hope you'll give it a go and please do give them a visit i'd love to see your creations, and get ahead for christmas.

Have a wonderful day thanks for stopping by,

Honoring Mothers Everywhere

Hi hope you had a great weekend,

I'd like to say a BIG HELLO to 3 lovely new followers, Dorothy, Diane and Fluffnstuff,  thank you so much for joining us!!

The challenge over at Isabella's Sketchbook is a creation to honor mothers everywhere using one of Isabella's digi images.
They are gorgeous images and well worth a visit, and to see the DT creations, which are amazing.

This is my card in honor of our mum!!

Other challenges I would like to enter are:
Every-body-art ~ Pastel colours
Dare you to digi stamp ~ anything goes
Little red waggon ~ pink and green
Friday sketchers ~ sketch

When I saw the digi image of the embroidery I  new it was just  right for my mum.
Sadly she's not with us but memories of her with my girls sat on the arm of her chair, teaching them how to sew are like yesterday.
My sister and I have to thank her for our interest in all things creative. She was so talented, emboidery, crochet, knitting, ribbon emboidery, decoupage and in later life she even mastered lace making.
She attended a center for the elderly and enjoyed basket weaving. When anyone new started and needed to be shown how to finish off the weaving,  they would say " see Ivy she'll show you".
We all have stools,  a baby chair and a table that she made, in our homes.

“The heart has its own memory,

Like the mind,

And in it are enshrined

The precious keepsakes”

You have given me many heartfelt

Memories and I thank you!
unknown

I used the fabulous sketch from Friday Sketchers. To celebrate their 2nd anniversary they're having an amazing blog hop, check it out!!

Home Sweet Home

Hi Happy Sunday,
To all you lovely folk around the world, and
for us over here hope you're enjoying your bank holiday weekend, and the sunshine whoopee!!

The challenge over at stamping for the weekend is
"Get to know you better through your favourite book"
I used my Cute Companions mice for my favourite book "The Borrowers" so little Arrietty, Pod and Homily the Clock family are at home. They like to go into the big house and borrow all the little things that go missing, buttons, pins and needles. Have you ever wondered where they all go . You can never find a needle when you want one!!!
It's not strictly accurate they are little people who live under the floor boards not mice, but it shows  a little family with large objects, and makes a nice new home card.

Edit:  So thrilled my card won It's a Crafters Companion Challenge
and madeTOP 3 at Stamping for the Weekend

Some more challenges are:
Copic colour challenge ~ to use the colours B02 BV02 YG03
Allsorts ~ Animals
It's a crafters companion ~ 3D project

This is the view of the front, the bottom was hidden by the steps.
I printed the theme sheet from the  CC volume 1 CD it's 5x5" cut out the cotton reels and wool from the A5 that is on the same sheet and 3d them.
Most of the stamps are on the Play days set, the book and reader are from Wonderful Christmas.
This is the first time using the Tim Holtz paper distresser. Easy to do but not sure if I like it, new style for me.
Wanted to give the impression of old and dark I inked with  TH distressing ink tea dye, faded jeans and peeled paint.
I coloured the mice with copic markers in the colours for the challenge, with E 50 51 53 R20 W1
flowered paper was a magazine freebie and the coloured card from my stash.

View from the side.
The sentiment was done on the computer the trimmings are all from my stash.
Bit of a long post if you're still with me happy crafting and thanks for stopping by.
