Advent Calendar Chest

Hi friends,
This is a long post you might need a cuppa.

I thought I would show you my creations using the new Molly Bloom stamps all available at Whichcraftuk.

Hop over to Clare's Blog the designer, for some wonderful inspiration and come and see her demoing at the Stamp Magic show, The Dome Doncaster.

My first creation is an Advent Calendar Chest.
Sorry for the rubbish photos the lightings not very good. I was rushing so I could deliver that day!!

I used the Match Box Template, also from Whichcraftuk, for the drawers and 3 pieces of Woodware
chip board.
Stamps used: Christmas Tree, Gingerbread Man, George as an Elf, Molly at Christmas, Molly with Tree Lights, Christmas Stocking, and part of Pile of Presents
Papers are by NitWit
I coloured the images with copics just too many to list.
The brads are from Dovecraft I coloured the red ones with a copic marker and added dots with a white gel pen , and also coloured the ribbon too with a green copic.
The numbers are peel offs which I also coloured pale blue with peel off markers.

Challenges I would like to have fun with,
Charisma Cardz ~ more than one fold
Crafty Creations ~ show a number
Papertake Weekly ~ 3 of a kind
A Spoonful of Sugar ~ Winter Wonderland
ABC Christmas Challenge ~ U for under the tree Gift or box
Pile it On ~ Things in 3's

The next one is a card using Whichcrafts handbag die cut card. I cut it in half long ways and joined it back together with a piece of dp on the front and the same cream card on the back.
It makes an A5 gate fold card.

Molly Bloom stamps used:
Patchwork Bed, Christmas Window, Bedtime Molly, George as an Elf and part of Pile of Presents.
NitWit paper again and coloured with copics
The sentiment is from the Woodware Christmas Sentiment clear set punched with SU oval and scallop oval punches.
I stamped 2 windows cut out the panes in one and added acetate for a 3D effect

The next 2 cards are using Whichcraft Elegant die cut step card

I had to take these  at the shop hence the background.
Molly Bloom stamps: Christmas Tree, and Christmas Stocking.
I stamped the tree using Versafine Olympia Green first then added Spanish Moss around the edges of the branches.
Then inked the trunk with momento cocoa and stamped it onto one of Paulas die cut scallop ovals.
I coloured in some of the branches and the trunk with a copic, and distressed the scallop edge with Victorian Velvert ink.
The pot was stamped on to dp and raised on pads
Sentiment as previous card.
Craftwork cards candy in christmas green.

Molly Bloom stamps used:
Molly as a tree angel, Christmas stocking. Pile of Presents,
DP NitWit
Sentiment as above

This one is using the Double Concertina step card

Molly Bloom stamps used:
Molly as a tree angel, Gingerbread man, Christmas Window and a couple of the presents from Pile of presents, coloured with copics
DP NitWit
Sentiment is a peel off

Well I think that's enough for now more to follow later.

Ribbon Box

Hi,
I'd just like to say a big HELLO and WELCOME to two lovely new followers Sarah and Diane.
Thank you so much for joining us.
I had a brilliant time at a workshop on Saturday at Whichcraft uk.
Hop over to the web site and have a look at the
new "Classic Collection,"  cards that have the edge!!
scallop concertina cards and the new scallop shutter cards
all exclusive to them.

At the workshop we altered a ribbon box, it starts out as a flat pack and folds into this lovely box.
They are 65p each from their shop.

To save drying time Paula had already painted the boxes with emulsion paint.

We covered two sides with patterned paper and two sides plain.
Stamped the letters onto the patterned paper and mounted them on to the stamped squares.
I glazed mine with glossy accents later but things always seem to curl up when I use it, thats why they look a bit up and down.
I was having a really funny "senior moment" day and put my letters on upside down,
then when I went to buy another box to do later,
I made this silly comment "they're not the boxes we used they only have 3 holes in them". DA!!! the rest just needed punching out. LOL we had a good laugh though.
I'm sorry I didn't take notice of which stamps and papers we used.

Thanks for stopping by

Whichcraft Workshop diorama cards

Hi another lovely sunny morning, hope you're all tickety boo,

We had a fabulous workshop yesterday at Whichcraftuk

I would like to share with you the really cute cards with added dimension, that we made.

The stamps we used were:
Pepper and Friends
Woodware pansies clear set

It doesn't show too clearly but there is an acetate window on both cards.
The Pepper card we used coloured pencils and the pansies were coloured with Tim Holtz distress ink.
This is only the second time i've used these inks so I need more practice. Thats the great thing about doing workshops you get to try new technics.

Paula would love you to be inspired by her cards but please don't copy her designs.

See you soon
