Easter Treats and a Birthday Cake

Hi,

No card to post just yet, i've been  really busy  with my grandaughter's birthday cake and finishing the Easter boxes for her to give to the children at the mums and tots group. She was leaving this week to start nursery after Easter. Thought you might like to have a look.
This is Timmy from one of her favourite programs. "He's a little lamb with a lot to learn" so his song goes.
He starts nursery and has lots of new experiences to deal with, just as Grace will. Don't you just wish you could be a fly on the wall!!!

My sister Jac and I made them really simple because they were for tots 25 in total!!
Just a basic milk carton, you can get a template Here
The bunnies are made from circles and ovals cut with nestabilities.
We did the faux stitching with a fine liner pen and coloured the faces with a copic marker.
I printed the greeting on the computer and punched it with the oval punch from Stamping Up.
The ribbon is from Whichcraftuk.

I didn't get to take her today as I spent a fabulous day with Jac's craft club. We went to Craftzone in Pontefract and met the lovely Wendy Stenton. There we made a gorgeous card and bought a lot of goodies.
Their shop is an Aladins cave of wonder I can highly recommend it.
Then on to the Bassetts sweet factory shop more goodies!!! finally ending up at the Junction 32 outlet.
A fabulous day, a big thank you to Jean mwah! for organising it.
Thanks for stopping by,

The gorgeous star of today is Coco a digi ted from Digi Stamp Boutique if you hurry you might just catch the offer of the month. He also comes with some cute friends as you can see in the first photo.
I coloured my images with copics and promarkers.
Really must try to write down which colours I used,
(note to myself for next time)

My double sided designer paper is by Making Memories. I bought it from Whichcraftuk, they have one very similar but not the one I used.
Nestability ovals and a punch for the little butterflies. The doylie punch by Martha Stewart, don't ya just love her punches, the hardest job with them is choosing one!!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge # Sketch

Good Morning friends,
There's a gorgeous sketch over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week, why not give it a go.
I used the Papertake Weekly Challenge of lilac and lemon. Gorgeous spring colours!!

To make my easel card I used a die cut card from a  goody bag from Craftwork Cards.
My lovely friend Sue gave  it to me at the papercraft show in Harrogate on Saturday, mwah, we had a lovely time and came back with lots of goodies.
I already had some scalloped squares from the same company, which I layered on top.
I used lilac core'dinations and lemon Bazzil bling, and some paper from a stack pad I bought at the show. It doesn't have a name.
The image is from the "Wonderful" clear stamp set by Penny Black.
I stamped a few times and decoupaged some of the flowers.
I thought I would try cutting the circle with a Nestability die with the flowers out side. Sorry I can't remember the correct term.
If you want to try it don't colour your image first, I had a few tries. It was difficult to work out how far to cut around the flowers first. I got there in the end and pleased with the result.
The sentiment is from Stamping Up and ribbon is Dovecraft.
Have a great day,

As it's late I will edit this post later.

Special Monthly Challenge Just Magnolia

Good morning friends,

The special monthly challenge at Just Magnolia is a tent card. There's a fabulous tutorial to follow to make this gorgeous card, hop over and have a look.
I am also entering the following challenges.
Magnolia Down Under which is a recipe of 3 papers 3 flowers 2 buttons and 1 bow.
Cupcake Craft who's theme is flower power
Roses on paper to make something for Easter.

I really enjoyed making this card although it wasn't without a problem. I stuck the front paper on, cut the apperture then realised I could see the folded piece in the window. No problem i'll draw the shape and trim it sorted. Then I stuck the back paper before the folded piece so had a pink strip on my cream dotty paper!!!something else showing in the window.
One thing we crafters are good at is covering up mistakes, another paper that matched the colours cut with my Martha Stewart doylie punch, and as if by magic pink was replaced with a row of Easter eggs.
I got there in the end love it so much  i'm going to make another one for a  challenge tomorrow.

The double sided flower paper is by Making Memories, garden party.
My cover up my mistake paper with the eggs on is by Papermania spring time.
I coloured the Tilda with rabbit stamp by Magnolia with Copics and Promarkers
Flowers are from  Wild Orchid Crafts my prize from the just magnolia win they are soooo fabulous, I am so lucky.

The only problem with posting in the early hours is being tied and pressing the wrong key  it posted before
I wanted it to. I was getting it ready for the morning when I could take my photo. Aw well!!!

Love to you all

Whichcraft Workshop diorama cards

Hi another lovely sunny morning, hope you're all tickety boo,

We had a fabulous workshop yesterday at Whichcraftuk

I would like to share with you the really cute cards with added dimension, that we made.

The stamps we used were:
Pepper and Friends
Woodware pansies clear set

It doesn't show too clearly but there is an acetate window on both cards.
The Pepper card we used coloured pencils and the pansies were coloured with Tim Holtz distress ink.
This is only the second time i've used these inks so I need more practice. Thats the great thing about doing workshops you get to try new technics.

Paula would love you to be inspired by her cards but please don't copy her designs.

See you soon

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Sketch

Hello, A lovely sunny day today here in Leeds,

The Penny Black challenge this week is a gorgeous sketch by Carole, and this is my card.

I've used the really cute Penny Black stamp Bees and Bunny for my image. I coloured it with Copics on whisper white cardstock  from Stamping Up. This cardstock has got to be the smoothest card I have ever seen, and was wonderful to colour on. There was hardly any bleed through too, really impressed!!!
Papers are by Papermania Blueberry Hill which I edged with Colour Box chalk ink burnt sienna.
The ribbon and faux pearls from my stash.
I used nestabilities classic squares plain and scallop and just added doodle dots with a white inkssentials pen.
I recieved my first parcel from Stamping Up this week, thanks so much Victoria  pop over and have a look at March's offer.
The stamps are gorgeous and the paper punches are fabulous. They cut so easy even copy paper,
They'll be appearing on a card near you very soon, can't wait to use them!!!!

Enjoy your day hope the sun is shining for you too.
