Shake it

Hi, everyone hope you're all good.

Some more projects to share with you today.

A shaker card made really easy with the SHAKE IT pouches from Impression Obsession.
I bought these at the last Harrogate show and i'm really mad with myself I can't remember the seller,
I hope they are there at the next show.
They are self adheshive and only about an 1/8th" deep. you can buy overlays too but I used the Sizzix top note die from Stampin Up and cut the oval with the large nessty.
Stamps I used are from Molly Bloom, Rudolph Joy and Gingerbread Garland.
Copic colouring ( I will get back into telling you the colours i've used )
Cardstock is Bazzil bling green and the real red from SU paper is Forever Friends Cosy Christmas stack
Greeting IO clear stamp word window and modern label punch SU
Holly leaves Quickcutz
To make the shaker I used German glass glitter, it's really nice and  makes a lovey shaky sound.
It could have done with just a bit less so you could read the word, but hay ho!! I'll know for next time.

I'm sharing this with Truly Scrumptious challenge ~ shaker card

More projects...

Treat pouches

christmas bauble

Box for the bauble
The inspiration for these came from some lovely talented SU demos.
The tutorial for the treat pouches can be found on our sweet Monica's blog here thank you hun fab video x

I'm sorry I can't give credit for the bauble as i've lost the link but she made a pumpkin.
I've had the paper kit called Christmas Jingle from SU for a while. It came with cardstock, papers and diecuts a brilliant kit... i'm so sorry it's not in the catty now.

I cut  18    6" x 1/2" strips with victorian cutter on my Rotatrim. Needs to be heavy weight paper.
Punch a hole through all the strips on both ends, a crop a dile would be best so the holes are in the same place.
Push a large brad through one end and a length of 3/8ths ribbon then through the other end, the ribbon is in the center of the bauble. Pull to form a circle and tie a knot in the ribbon.
Move the strips of paper around evenly.
The poinsettia flowers are with Marianne Die but I split the paper after I cut them to reveal the inside makes them look more like mulberrry paper. Thanks again to Monica. x
I put some flowers inside too. scrolls are sizzix sizzlits dies swirls scribbles from SU
Stamp used on the treat pouch is from the sparkly and bright set SU

ABC christmas challenge is ~ unused stash

How long has it been!!!!

Hi friends as my title says 'How long has it been.....' I can't believe it.
I hope you're all having a good summer, has it arrived yet here?

I have been busy making some cards for the Cancer Research UK here are a few of them.

I thought I would blow the dust off of my Art Impressions Stamps and join in with their challenge

Show me a Bird.

I've not used them for quite a while so I was a bit rusty. I took inspiration from the fantastic videos that you can find on the challenge blog, well worth a visit.

I used a selection of Art Impression stamps and Mavy Le Plume water colour markers.

Hope to catch up with you all soon.

Huge hugs
Cherie

No stamps # Creative Card Crew

Hi crafty friends, this is my last post as DT member for Creative Card Crew.
I've enjoyed my time with the team but feel it's time to move on to pastures new, as time pemits with my commitments at home.

The challenge for this week is

NO STAMPS... you can use digis but if you feel like a tougher challenge leave these out too.

My DT card

I've used the die cut decoupage by Jolly Nation for the image
I tried to make the front look like doors opening in to a ballroom.
I just cut the curtains free hand.
Paper from Craftwork cards,
Martha Stewart doyle punch
and a bit of recycled ribbon, (you know the ribbon that keeps popping out from your neck line.... meant to hang a garment up.)

Fantasy # Creative Card Crew

Hi we have a new challenge at Creative Card Crew

This week it's anything to do with

FANTASY

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is  Gingerloft

My DT card

This was certainly a challenge well out of my comfort zone, but I have to admit I enjoyed it even though I messed up the first one.. I spent all afternoon colouring and when I did the background I left a slight line under the horses neck. Did I leave it... no couldn't do that, I tried to colour it and got a big deep purple spot arrrrgh!!! I thought as it was ink I could use water to lighten it NO!! that just pilled the paper.
So I had to start again. At least I know for next time what not to do.

This image from Gingerloft is 'Fairy on Unicorn'

The close up is nearer to the actual colours it took quite a few goes to get a good photo.
Copics used BV000 BV01 RV32 RV34 G20 E000 E00 E11 R20 B12 C1 3 5
B60 plus blender
Distress ink Dusty Concord and Versafine imperial purple and smokey grey
Leaf and sentiment stamps from Lavinia Stamps
I also added Spica clear twinkles but it's not showing on the photo.
I didn't want to add anything else, the image matt is 14 1/2cm sq. I made it larger because it's so detailed  any smaller would have been even more difficult to colour.

Some challenges to join in the fun with:

4 crafty chicks ~ Fairy butterfly or angel
Digi Doodle shop ~ anything goes
Frosted Designs ~ no pattered paper
Crafts and Me ~ Something with wings
Cupcake Inspirations ~ photo  used colours
Sentimental Sundays ~ photo inspiration ( the sky)
Samuel Taylor monthly ~ use copics or promarkers
Totally Paper Crafts ~ Do it with digis

Thank you for stopping by,

Colour challenge # Teddy Stampers

Good morning sweet friends and welcome to my lovely new followers, looking forward to sharing the journey together.

Many thanks too for  your creations for our last challenge they were all amazing, and so nice to visit you.

We at Teddy Stampers would like to invite you to join us for our new challenge ..... it's a colour combo

 PINK   WHITE  BROWN

We would like to see these colours, and don't forget you need a stamped or digi stamp BEAR on your creation.

Our generous sponsor is Whiff of Joy

My DT card

I'm making cards at the moment for my grandaughters nursery, they're raising money to buy a new camera.

Isn't this a cute shape, when it's closed it fits in to a C6 or 16 1/2 x 11 1/2 cm envelope.
You can see how to make an  A5 version on Leann blog of Crafters Companion.
Although it does say you need 6 A5 pieces of card, you only use 4 and one to cut a square from.

A tip that might help is not to use thick card as it's quite springy to close, especially if matting and layering, light weight card stock is fine..

I've used digi papers again I'm really loving the papers from Pink Petticoat ( blossom and mocha plain ) and matched it beautifully with a paper from Popcorn Bear CD... floral.

The cute ted stamp is Penny Black 'snug' coloured with copics E30 31 YR21 and the background R000
W1 shadow

While visiting Cupcake Craft challenge I hopped over to Shelly she inspired me with her doodle borders well worth a visit, she has some gorgeous creations.

I embossed the front panels with a Cuttlebug border folder and added pearls Hobby House Crafts the ribbon was from Whichcraft uk it might not be on the site but you can order by phone.

The sentiment was written on the computer. I left the other oval empty for a personal message.

Some challenges to join in
Penny Black Saturday ~ pretty in pink
Truly Scrumptious ~ pearls and swirls
Digital Tuesday ~ use a die cut and something digital ( digi papers)
Everybody art ~ 3 papers 3 flowers optional ribbon ( hope the embossed flowers are ok)
Ooh la la ~ for someone special..... and mums are really special!!!
Fairy tale challenge ~ diamond fold card

Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend,

For a Loved One # Creative Card Crew

Good Morning,  it's a cold but sunny morning here hope you're all tickety boo!!!

Tuesday means another fun challenge from Creative Card Crew.

This week we want you to create something....

FOR A LOVED ONE

Our sponsor for this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps

This little girl from our sponsor is called Lucy she's a Valentine's girl but i've used her for a Mother's Day Theme.
I thought I would get some Polychromos pencils to try, which i've used along with Copics, to deepen some of the shadows. These are wax base pencils and, as with any new technique it takes practice to get to know how they work.
I've been thinking lately that I want to spend more time practicing with different colouring mediums.
The Prisma pencils are another one I want to try. If anyone has any tips on the difference between the the two pencils i'd love to hear them.

When I attend workshops at Whichcraftuk we sometimes colour with distress inks and I get really frustrated because i'm pants with them so they are on my to-do-list!!!

Some great workshops this month and a demo day on the 26th hope to see you there!!

There's not much I can say about my card as the papers are out of the scrap pile so not sure where they're from, just thought they went together ok.
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday Challenge

There's lots of love in blog land... some challenges to share it with:
Sketch Saturday ~ sketch
Ladybug crafts ~  Love is in the air
Raise the bar ~ Heart
Papertake Weekly ~ Have a heart
The Crazy Challenge ~ Lots of Love
Allsorts ~ Love
Stamp Something ~ digi Friday

Thanks for calling by have a fun day,
