What a cutie!

Hi lovely friends hope you had a fun weekend,

I know I did, my lovely sister Jac, had been to stay for a few days. Postie brought me some scrummy stash on Friday,  so we got to play with some of the brand new stamps from Lily of the Valley and created this gorgeous little gift basket, thanks Jac for cutting the papers for me and decorating the inside, mwha X

If you would like to make one too, the template is by the wonderfully talented Randi Thorson she has some beautiful creations not to be missed.

This little cutie is 'Birthday Fairy' so pretty and a dream to colour.

The copics used: Skin E000 E00 R20 Hair E50 E53  Clothes B00 BG10 G20 G21 Y000
Wings B00 B32 BG10
Bear R00 R20 + 0  Present Y000 E50 B00

I've  had the double sided DP for such a long time it's called Butterfly Bouquet and I used both sides.
Pearls and brads from The Hobbyhouse and ribbon from Hobbycraft
The scrummy flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

I used star dust stickles around the edges of the paper
and on the little fairy.

The basket opens on both sides.

Randi made hers with two acetate windows

I cut a small oval nestie to make the tag and the sentiment is from Woodware, 'Tiny Phrases' stamp set.

Wouldn't it make a gorgeous easter basket!!

Challenges to have fun with:
Lily of the Valley ~ things with wings must be LOTV image
The creative cottage ~ something new... new stamps and basket
Stamp Something ~ anything goes
Pile it on ~ anything goes
Aud sentiments ~ sentiment can only be two words

Birthdays at Christmas

Hi friends,
Well Christmas is nearly here and this will be my last post for 2010 but I look forward to seeing you all again in January.

Our challenge over at Creative Card Crew is  Birthdays at Christmas

I have to admit that I struggled with this one, so i've gone for the sparkle and glitter of Christmas.
For some fabulous inspiration check out the rest of the crew.

The prize for this challenge will be a Guest Designer Spot.
There will be more than one winner chosen.

My Dt card

The base card is cream I think i've over done the photo effects!!!
It's made from a kit from The Ribbon Box
You get everything you need to make 2 x C6 cards.
The second card has a fabulous matching handbag on.
It includes the templates so you can create your own designs.
The shaped heel piece and the flower come on a printed sheet which you cut out and cover with the glitter.
On the heel piece I did as it suggested and used pva glue, but the flower I used double sided tape, that comes in an A4 sheet it was easier and less messy.
You could add any embellishments to the front, would look good done with micro beads 'mm keep that thought'!!!
I bet you could even make it in to a shoe shaped card, oooh! the ideas are bubbling away.

So why not have a go
i'd love to see what you create and you could be in with a chance to design with the Crew.

I'd like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas with those you love,
and Good Health and Happiness in 2011.   xxx
Stay safe!!

Hi I'm Back!!!!

Hi everyone, hope you're ok and not too far off being ready for christmas!!!

If I was as organised as my dear buddy Lisa Jane I would have scheduled posts for the last two weeks sadly i'm not.

I've had a break to attend a fabulous winter wedding it was so lovely.
My cousins daughter was married in a little church in Didcot in Oxfordshire last weekend.
The brass band  that she and her husband are members of played Christmas carols and a spine chilling fanfare as the beautiful bride entered the church, so lovely to sing carols at a wedding.
Sweet little bridesmaids with cute fluffy shawls, brought tears to our eyes it was so magical.
Our only regret was rain, a few snow flakes instead would have been so much better... we could have taken buckets of snow from Yorkshire.

Everyone was amazed when as part of his sermon the vicar... with the help of his very talented teenage son used a puppet boy doll... who armed with wellies and bucket thought he had been invited to help with the weeding.
The vicar then corrected him to say 'it was help with the WEDDING' and used the illustration of weeding as part of the marriage sermon, really well thought out and so different, the children loved it.

Then on Monday the bride, groom, their little girl, my cousin and her husband, my daughters and grandchildren were all enjoying the winter wonderland at Center Parcs in the Lake District, for the week.
The temperatures reached minus 12... the coldest we've ever known but it gave us beautiful winter scenes, some photos to share with you below.

I made two more advent calender chests but sadly didn't get them to my sister and friend Sue for the start of the month, but I thought I would share them any way and maybe enter a few challenges.

The stamps on this one are from the Cute Companions, Wonderful Christmas, Deck the Halls and Christmas Wishes stamp sets and coloured with Copics.

The paper and embellishments are from the absolutely brilliant kit that was my prize in the monthly prize draw on the Docrafts site. It was over £50 in value and included A4 paper pad,  linen stickers, brads, stamp set, rub ons, vellum quote pad, A4 decoupage card, A4 laser board, A4 silver vellums, A4 foiled decoupage, A4 shimmer board and two stencils all from the Henbury Lane, Poinsettia collection.
HOW LUCKY WAS I !!!!!!
I just bought extra brads for the draws.
