Punch it # Creative Card Crew

Hi crafty friends,

Welcome to a new challenge with Creative Card Crew.

                            PUNCH IT

We'd like to see how creative you can be with your PUNCHES.
The choice is yours any topic as long as you have punchies on.

Our generous sponsor is Fred She Said

My DTcard

You wouldn't believe the trouble I had to get a good photo. I thought great it's a sunny morning but it came out too light. I must have tried to take a photo in 4 different rooms arrah!!! and ended up using the stairs and it's still not brilliant, which is such a shame as it's so sparkley and bright.

I'd like to say thanks to Pam for showing me this lovely card shape.
I don't know if it has a name other than an easel card.
It's a basic 5 3/4" square card scored across the middle. Then I penciled a line across the other way and lined up a square nestability where all the corners met the lines to cut out a square center.
Use the next size scallop nesty to mount  your image and the bottom corner sits inside at the front.
The opposite point is on a foam pad. I made the little boy a pop up.
I punched the borders with an EK punch and went around them with crystal glitter.
The gorgeous digi images are from our generous sponsor, Emma the snow angel and Catchin' flakes.
Coloured with Copics:
Skin, E000 E00 E20
Hair E31 E33
Clothes R81 RV32 BG10 BG15 BG32
Snow and shadows BG000 B00
Papers from the Daisy and Dandilion 'Penelope and Percy' pad
Charm from  The Hobby House Crafts

Some challenges to have fun with:
Simple Doodles ~  Shape it out
The Crazy Challenge ~ Tons of shapes
Challenge up your life ~ Easel card
Lots to do ~ Easel or shape card
Papertake weekly ~ sparkley and bright
A spoonful of sugar ~ lets get punchy

We have a new challenge over at Teddy Stampers. For this fortnight we have an open theme with a twist... to do an optional 2x2 challenge.
So whatever you use times it by 2. So you could use 2 images as I have, 2 buttons, ribbons, paper... you don't have to use them all.
Edit: if you do the 2x2 you will get an extra entry into the prize draw.
Just remember you must have a stamped or digi stamp bear on your creation.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Digital Delights.

Charisma cardz challenge is ~  pink

Digital Delights very kindly donated some digital images for this challenge, I chose to use the 'Girl Bear'
I thought for the 2x2 challenge I would use the image twice, I flipped the image so she is looking the opposite way, to make a card for the birth of twins.
I added another set to the page so I could decoupage their arms to hold the the sentiment.
Copic colours: E000 R20 V000 V12 RV000 RV02
The background was stamped with Fiskars baby clear stamps in pink pastel colorbox chalk ink.
Sentiments computer generated, paper from my stash.

Teddy Stampers Challenge # Spring

What's more beautiful than a spring day, bright yellow daffodils bathed in sunshine, that was my inspiration for my DT card.
So the  new challenge for you today over at Teddy Stampers, is a creation with spring in mind.
Just a reminder you must have a stamped or digi TEDDY BEAR image on your creation.
My fellow DT members have some gorgeous inspiration for you.

I'm entering my card into the Just Cute Bears challenge too.
It was the turn of the lovely Annie to choose the challenge, which is a colour combo of yellow and green gorgeous spring colours.

I love making easel cards, but they are a bit difficult to photograph. the base is always in the shadow and so the colour comes out darker. If anyone has any tips i'd be very greatful.
My image is Popcorn Bear Someone Special stamp set by Crafter's Companion.
I'ts a lovely large image but as you can see at the top you can use a portion of it.

As promised the copic and Promarker colours are:
bear: E30 31 33 34 and E08 on his foot
daffodils: Y11 15 YR23
greens: G14 promarker pear green
duck: Y11 promarker honeycomb
shading around bear: C1 + blender
background: I used chalk.

The DT papers are by Brenda Walton from my stash
Martha Stewart picket fence punch
I tried in vain to get paper daffodils, had to settle for these silk ones. There were lots of Easter goodies reduced at Hobbycraft in store last Saturday. I got 2 Easter punches by Martha Stewart for £8.99 each!!!
I put pearl brads in the center of the flowers, from  the Hobby House
and a punch by McGill for the leaves.
 ribbon Hobbycraft
sentiment by Stamping Up

Thanks for stopping by have a great weekend.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge # Sketch

Good Morning friends,
There's a gorgeous sketch over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week, why not give it a go.
I used the Papertake Weekly Challenge of lilac and lemon. Gorgeous spring colours!!

To make my easel card I used a die cut card from a  goody bag from Craftwork Cards.
My lovely friend Sue gave  it to me at the papercraft show in Harrogate on Saturday, mwah, we had a lovely time and came back with lots of goodies.
I already had some scalloped squares from the same company, which I layered on top.
I used lilac core'dinations and lemon Bazzil bling, and some paper from a stack pad I bought at the show. It doesn't have a name.
The image is from the "Wonderful" clear stamp set by Penny Black.
I stamped a few times and decoupaged some of the flowers.
I thought I would try cutting the circle with a Nestability die with the flowers out side. Sorry I can't remember the correct term.
If you want to try it don't colour your image first, I had a few tries. It was difficult to work out how far to cut around the flowers first. I got there in the end and pleased with the result.
The sentiment is from Stamping Up and ribbon is Dovecraft.
Have a great day,

Penny Black Saturday Challenge 92 Spring Colours

Hello,

Over at the Penny Black Saturday Challenge your creations have to have a Penny Black image or sentiment and the theme this week is spring colours.

My card also fits into these challenges too:
One Stop Craft Challenge - spots and dots
Crafty Sentiments  -  sketch
Pile it on - to get your creation on at least one other challenge and the theme is pastels.
This is my second card for this challenge, you can enter more than once!!

I used the lovely sketch over at the new Crafty Sentiments challenge blog, thank you Lisa for the invitation to join in the fun.
Hop over there and give them your support, they would love to see you.

I thought I would make a thank you easel card using the gorgeous Martha Stewart edge punch.
If you cut a square 3 1/4 inches and punch each side it makes this lovely frame which I matted onto a Nestibilities classic scallop square.
The image is from the Critters clear stamp set by Penny Black.
Papers I used were printed from the spring CD by Wild Rose Studio and Bazzil
The gorgeous sentiment stamp is by Stamping Up. I absolutely adore these stamps!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day
Love

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #16

Hi, Welcome to my blog I hope you're having a lovely weekend.

The challenge this week at Mo's Digital Pencil is Shades of Grey. Pop over there and have a look, the team have done some amazing samples. I love Elaine's, its so inspirational.

I wasn't really sure if you could use any other colour but after looking at the samples I thought it would be ok to colour her skin. I settled with her hair without too much shading as I didn't want her to look grey. It's not a colour I use for children's hair so I'm not that good.

  • Card Ingredients
  • Mo's Digital Image Karate Girl with computer sentiments
  • Copic and Promaker pens
  • Easel style base card
  • Dark grey bazzil
  • Dovecraft designer paper charcoal prints which was plain I used Magnolia swirl stamp with Versafine smokey grey ink.
  • Nestabilities plain and scalloped square and rectangle
  • Anita's ribbon
  • Punched circles for faux brads.
Thank you so much for looking.
